Succinct and To the Point

In networks where cities have a financial commitment to build the network or to buy services, these networks are generally being built. Glenn Fleishman does a good job of telling it like it is when it comes to metropolitan broadband. Given how different cities are, I'm not altogether sure why so many commenters seem intent on divining patterns from past history.

Seems we should look at individual projects on their merits, given the youth of this industry and the relative novelty of the technologies involved.

I'm reminded of the concept of "Skin in the Game."
